On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,655. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 10.284 billion and the number of lots traded 17,486.

Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 4.364 billion, followed by gold PKR 2.042 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 1.714 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.475 billion, DJ PKR 255.447 million, platinum PKR 138.489 million, SP500 PKR 85.342 million, natural gas PKR 79.441 million, silver PKR 64.303 million, Brent crude oil PKR 47.511 million, copper PKR 11.388 million and Japan Equity PKR 5.727 million.

In agriculture commodities 8,195 lots of red chilli amounting to PKR 2.270 million were traded.
